TAO-Pilipinas Resource Center & Library
The TAO-Pilipinas Resource Center and Library located in our office in Quezon City, Philippines, is open for students and researchers. We have books and periodicals on architecture, community planning and upgrading, land use planning, disaster management, environmental management, housing, urban planning and development, and solid waste management.
Guidelines for Visiting Users
The following govern access and on-premise use of the TAO-Pilipinas library resources and facilities:
User Fee:
Php 50.00 per person/per visit
Coverage:
- All graduate and undergraduate students currently enrolled in colleges and universities
- Professional or corporate researchers
- Others, subject to approval
Payment Procedure:
Payment should be made to the Admin Officer before the use of any library facilities.
The following are exempted from payment:
- Graduate and undergraduate students with a letter of recommendation or endorsement from any TAO-Pilipinas partner organizations
- Community-base organizations (CBOs) or people’s organizations (POs)
- Partner network organizations (active)
- TAO volunteers
- YP interns and former YP Workshop participants
Requirements
- Registration in the Resource Center Logbook
- Valid I. D. (school/institution/company)
- CBO/POs:
- Letter of recommendation/endorsement from partner/assisting organization
- For students/researchers:
- Present a letter of request (for use of library facilities) stating the purpose/objective of research work
- Endorsement letter from adviser
- Endorsement letter from TAO-Pilipinas partner organization (for library fee exemption)
Restrictions:
- All materials are for room use only.
- Bags should be checked in with the library personnel. Only writing pad and pens allowed in the library.
- A maximum of 5 (five) students a day shall be allowed access on a first come, first served basis.
- Photocopies may be made of selected pages but not of the entire reference material/book/report/publication, etc.
- Taking photographs of reference materials are not allowed.
- No food and drinks allowed.
- Access and use of multi-media resources and internet facilities are not included in the library fees. A separate fee is charged for internet access.
- TAO-Pilipinas authorized personnel reserves the right to cancel requests when deemed necessary.
Visiting Schedule:
By appointment only. Mondays to Fridays – 10:00-12:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00p.m.
Visitors are required to set an appointment through email or phone call before the visit to ensure the availability of assisting library personnel.
